Tooth surface loss (TSL) or tooth wear (TW)

Objectives. Tooth surface loss (TSL) or tooth wear (TW) is an irreversible loss of hard tooth structure caused by factors other than those responsible for dental caries. TSL is observed clinically as attrition, abrasion, abfraction, and erosion.
